DRAGON‘S FIRE is a song about the ancient traditions that form the foundation of the Welsh Parliament – the Senedd – and how those traditions enable Wales to take its unique and relevant place in the world. This Anthem was written to mark the Senedd‘s 25th Anniversary and filmed there.
The video of the song was premiered at the Senedd on 11 July 2024, in the presence of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Composer Michael Sebastien used a customised harp guitar to make the connection between ancient and modern music, a tribute to the Celtic ‘Cruit’ harp, whose players, the Crythor, were held in high regard and would sit with the nobility at feasts, alongside the bardic poets!
